Location Sound in a Colorado area

If you need a sound person based in a particular Colorado area and I am not available, I can assist you. With a sound person referral when possible. Or someone as close as possible to a Colorado city, town or place if there are resources available.

Some areas in Colorado unfortunately have no location sound mixers, or other crew; even if they are popular areas. Eastern Colorado southern Colorado are limited in production personnel, but I’ll travel.

A sound recordist from out of state or country into a Colorado area can cost. When you factor airfare, parking, hotel, travel Per Diem, or other travel expenses.  When you can just hire a local sound recordist like me. Not all Colorado areas have a local sound recordist or other crew resources, but traveling for me is enjoyable. If one of your crew misses a flight, or the airline is to blame, call a local guy like me.

Traveling your favorite sound person requires budgeting ahead, if permitting. Rates have solidified and are comparable for from state to state in larger production markets. Colorado, California, the East and West Coasts are considered the larger resources.

If you’re a videographer or director of photography or another camera person that is lesser experienced in location sound. Needing mixing / recording to a camera or other source, hiring a sound assistant like me can save your shoot from disaster or poor audio.

Poor audio requires fixing later if at all it can, or wasting your entire production budget. Or if you can’t mix & record sound at the expense of camera operation or composition, then just called a skilled sound technician to help.
