Booking an experienced location sound mixer to assist on your production is a wise idea. I am an editor as well and had to try to fix footage where a sound recordist was not used. Resulting in un-usable footage. Incorrectly powered microphone sources or other rookie mistakes can also cause electronic interference in the sound recorded in your video.
